| 内容記述 | To identify challenges of Saga Prefecture’s medical care system, the current demand for and provision of such care in various communities of the prefecture were analyzed based on the information published by the Japan Medical Association Research Institute and <Saga Prefecture Regional Medical Care Vision>. Among the 5 secondary medical areas of Saga Prefecture, 4 lacked sufficient services, and their patients used secondary medical areas in other communities.In the eastern part of the prefecture, a large number of patients used the adjacent Kurume Medical Area of Fukuoka Prefecture;however,in this area, there is no institution providing advanced medical care. Advanced treatment hospitals and institutions providing wide-area advanced emergency care are only located in the central part of Saga Prefecture. On the other hand, the number of beds for advanced acute care is markedly higher in the southern part of the prefecture,based on the<Saga Prefecture Regional Medical Care Vision>. Thus,the number of hospital beds is sufficient,regardless of their usage,but the medical care system for treating road traffic injuries,stroke,heart diseases,and other conditions that may occur is insufficient in many areas of Saga Prefecture. |
