As a result, the following two points were summarized. (1) Picture books are a c ommunication tool with children. And it is one of the important items in forming trust and attachment relationships with adults. (2) It is important for caregivers to select pictu re books with intention and read to children in order to help them develop rich experiences, kno wledge, and activities. However, students studying childcare tend to be highly aware of the techniques of reading aloud to children, and less aware of the meaning and significance of reading aloud to children, as well as the intention of caregivers to incorporate picture b ooks as teaching materials in childcare practice.
